What are the Kiesel Experience and Kiesel Edition?
Customizing and ordering a custom Kiesel Guitars instrument is an exciting experience as it is. However, there are two ways to elevate the process to a one-of-a-kind endeavor: the Kiesel Editions and Kiesel Experiences. What do these exclusive processes entail?
Kiesel Experience
The Kiesel Experience is a unique opportunity to visit the custom shop. Not only does the customer meet with the Kiesel staff and President, but they can also walk through the custom shop and participate in the start of their build.
Before starting the in-person Kiesel Experience, customers will come ready with their baseline specs which include the model, top wood, and fingerboard wood desired. Then, they will book an appointment with our showroom manager, Flock, to finalize the visit date. Finally, a deposit will be placed to cement the visit.
Once the customer arrives at the San Diego factory, they will speak to Flock and work face-to-face to finalize their specs. Once these specs are chosen, the customer will meet with President Jeff Kiesel for an hour, who will review the selected options and make any recommendations, whether that be the finish or something as simple as the inlay shape and material. Jeff will then bring out an assortment of the chosen top and fingerboard woods so the customer can pick the exact boards used on the build.
When the options are confirmed once again and the woods are chosen, the customer will walk through the custom shop, where they will have the chance to press the button on the CNC to start their build and watch their instrument go into production.
This Experience is priced at $2,000 and includes a 5A upgrade for the top. Woods can be upgraded to master grades for an upcharge if desired.

Kiesel Edition
The Kiesel Edition allows for the creation of some of Kiesel’s most exquisite instruments. The included options entail a master-grade back wood, an exclusive spec limited to the Kiesel Edition, and master-grade top wood. Other woods include a 5-piece body and headstock; a 5-piece neck is also standard, though it can be upgraded to a 7-piece.
To start the process, the customer will be put on a waiting list, which is currently around 1-2 years long. Once the customer’s spot is available, they will send in their specs to the Custom Shop Experts. After this step, Jeff Kiesel reviews the selected options and offers any recommendations he may have. The build will then be put into production when the options are locked in.
One of the most unique aspects of the Kiesel Edition is the accompanying build-process pictures. Once the instrument is completed, the customer will receive an album of their instrument in the various stages of production, along with professional studio shots of the finished product.
The Kiesel Edition comes in at a $3,000 price point.
